Device Protection

Online resources and help for Device Protection services from Total Digital Security - the "security gate" to protect your technology devices.

Getting Started

Explore the app

Though we recommend no changes, we want you to know of the many preference and settings options you have for your computer and internet browsers when using the F-Secure service.

  • no changes are necessary
  • adjustments are for finding balance between convenience and security

Find the app by looking for the black shield icon, or searching for the app in your file directory. Once in the app, look over the various options you have for:

  • Tools
  • Preferences
  • Firewall
  • Scanning
  • Browsing Protection and Connection Control

Features will vary depending on your computer and operating system, but you can whitelist, exempt and over-ride functions depending on your personal preferences and needs.

Some security enhancements may interfere with your regular activities.

Though these interruptions remind us the service is working, and we should be thoughtful about why the activity is being blocked or questioned, settings can be adjusted to suit your personal preferences and needs.

Think of Device Protection as a gate. Ultimately, you get to decide who is allowed in the gate to your device.
