Before you start:

  • Uninstall 3rd party antivirus or internet security software on the computer.  
  • Update Apple system software and reboot the computer before installation.
Installation instructions:
  1. Process these instructions on the Mac computer you are protecting. It is OK to forward this email for other licensed installations.

  2. Allow time for a complete download. Depending on your connection's speed, it can take up to 10 minutes to download and install.

  3. If prompted for a subscription number, go to "Tools", then "Preferences" and enter the number from above.

If the F-Secure application does not display automatically, find the shield-shaped icon and click to display.  We recommend no changes in Settings. 

  • This is powerful software, please allow enough time to complete the download and installation process without interruption - usually less than 10 minutes.

  • Leave the computer on and connected for several hours to complete the process.
  • You may work normally during the process, and rebooting is OK.
